Josh Travis and Jennifer Baize met at Beaver Baptist church in July of 1996. As soon as Josh saw Jennifer, he leaned over to his brother Justin and said. I don’t know who that girl in the pink dress is, but I’m going to marry her. At the end of the service he introduced himself and two weeks later they went out on their first date together. Josh and Jennifer have been inseparable since and are truly best friends...
Helping each other through the passing of Josh’s dad TJ in 1999, the couple continued to grow closer. In August of 1999 Josh and Jennifer bought their first house together and in May of 2000, they got married and Jennifer moved in with Josh. Shortly after, Josh was laid off from Stream International and the couple learned to appreciate the nutritional and economical value of macaroni and cheese. After a few poor employment decisions, Josh found ServiceMaster in August of 2001 and after about six months, the couple was back on their feet again.
In May of 2002, Jennifer Travis graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Memphis and began teaching kindergarten in August of that year. Since then, everything has been great. Josh and Jennifer both have been enjoying their jobs and volunteer in numerous ministries at Lighthouse Fellowship Assembly of God church in Millington, TN.
In June of 2004, Josh and Jennifer decided it was time to start a family and in September, they announced that they were pregnant with their first. With the baby on the way, Josh and Jennifer decided to move to a bigger house, so in January, they put theirs on the market and started shopping for their next home. After a few short months, they found the perfect house in Brighton TN and closed on May 4, 2005. With just weeks to unpack and setup a nursery, the couple raced to assemble a crib and changing table, finish unpacking boxes from their move, build a storage shed, clean out the garage and much more. Finally, on June 1, 2005, at 5:27 PM, Jefferson O'Neil Travis was born.
